Each auto maker has their own policy for replacing defective parts, but YOUR first step is to see if your vehicle has a problem by checking the vehicle's personal identification number, or "VIN", against the databases listed below.
These databases both contain great instructions on how to find the "VIN" number, but typically this number is listed on a metal tag underneath the lower drivers side part of a vehicle's front windshield, visible from the outside.
