Maintenance Minder System
       The maintenance minder system shows engine oil life in the information display to let you know when it' s time to have the engine oil replaced and regular maintenance done. The following list describes when one of your Maintenance Indicator Light comes on.

 
A   Indicator
  • change engine oil
  • replace engine oil filter
  • top off all fluids
  • set tire pressures
 
B   Indicator
  • check oil & filter
  • inspect front & rear brakes
  • check pads & discs for wear, damage & cracks
  • check calipers for damage, leaks & tightness of mounting bolts
  • check parking brake adjustment
  • inspect tie-rod ends, steering gearbox & gearbox bolts
  • check rack grease & steering linkage check fluid lines for damage & leaks
  • inspect suspension boots
  • check bolts for tightness
  • check ball joints boots for deterioration & damage
  • inspect drive shaft boots
  • check boots for cracks & boot bands for tightness
  • inspect brake hoses & lines including ABS system
  • check the master cylinder & ABS modulator control unit for damage & leakage
  • inspect all fluid levels & conditions
  • inspect exhaust system
  • check catalytic converter heat shields, exhaust pipes & muffler for damage, leaks & tightness
  • inspect fuel lines & connections
  • check for loose conections, cracks & deterioration, replace damaged parts
 
Indicators for Individual Service

"1" Indicator
  • rotate tires

"2" Indicator
  • replace air filter element
  • inspect drive belts
  • look for cracks & damage, then check position of the drive belt auto-tensioner indicator
  • replace dust & pollen filter(s)

"3" Indicator
  • replace transmission fluid

"4" Indicator
  • replace spark plugs
  • replace timing belt (if equipped)
  • inspect water pump
  • inspect valve clearance

"5" Indicator
  • replace engine coolant

"6" Indicator
  • replace the rear differential fluid (if equipped)
"7" Indicator
  • flush brake fluid system
"8" Indicator
  • 9 speed transmission service
