Why is my check engine light on?

The computer in your vehicle has detected some kind of problem which requires a system diagnosis. Responding right away to the check engine light can help prevent the need for big repairs later on. The computers and the associated sensors comprise the onboard diagnostic (OBD) system, which monitors ignition, fuel injection, and other emission-control-related systems and transmission. When sensors detect conditions outside of specified values, they typically cause the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL), also called the Check Engine Light, to come on, indicating a potential problem.

What does it mean when my tire light or TPMS lights are on?

Your tire light can come on when your tire pressure drops below a pre-determine pressure, which is usually approximately 25% of the rated inflation pressure. If the letter TPMS appear this usually indicates the tire pressure monitoring system has detected a problem with the system and should be checked by your Honda dealer. Note: Should your vehicle tire light come on you should first check all tire pressure for proper pressures. If you find the tire pressure low fill to rated pressure to the rated pressure found on your vehilce left front door jam area. Then test drive the vehicle over 30mph for a few minutes and the light should go out.
